Shelter Legal Services

Suffolk Law's Shelter Legal Services is a group of students who have committed themselves to volunteering a few hours a week with students from other law schools at various legal clinics throughout Boston hosted by the Shelter Legal Services Foundation. Suffolk students perform free legal services at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, the Cambridge Public Library, Rosie's Place, and the First Parish Church in Cambridge.

Under the supervision of attorneys, students of every class year engage themselves in matters of family law, tax law, bankruptcy law, social security and veterans benefits, and employment law. Students meet with clients, draft pleadings, perform research, and can accompany shelter legal attorneys to court.

For information, please e-mail them directly.
