American Civil Liberties Union (SULS-ACLU)
The purpose of SULS-ACLU is to serve as advocates of the civil liberties, freedoms, and rights guaranteed by, but not limited to the United States Contitution, the Bill of Rights, and individual state constitutions, through education and activism. Membership in the SULS-CLU is open to all properly enrolled students, as well as faculty, staff, and alumni of the Suffolk University Law School, and other persons recognized by the SULS-ACLU.
In the past two years, the SULS-ACLU has sponsored events addressing racial profiling, domestic partnerships, hate speech on campus, mandatory diversity training in employment, among other topics.
